Dear Perioperative Colleagues and AORN Members:
Spring has sprung and all our snow has melted and The 57th Congress is over and was well attended.

We all enjoyed a great presentation at Children's Hospital on Bariatric Surgery on the Pediatric Population in March. A big thanks to Children's for hosting the meeting and to Ethicon Endosurgery and W. L. Gore and Associates for providing our Dinner.

We had 10 delegates attend Congress who represented our Chapter. A thank you to all our delegates for their enthusiasm and their willingness to serve. It is a pleasure to serve with a dedicated group of professionals.

Congress had many changes for the better of the organization. It started with a BANG. The background on the stage was of Mountains and starry night lights and the cityscape of Denver.

Many speakers spoke on Health Care Reform. Change was discussed and a new check list in the OR was brought to our attention. There were 1081 delegates in attendance.

Your nominating Committee is working hard in developing a ballot for the May elections. We need your help in Volunteering to serve.

April Meeting is at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital on April 21st in the OR Lounge. Topic is Malignant Hypertension by Dr. Kirkpatrick.
Our next meeting in May will be held at Prince Georges Hospital Center.
